Founder Mary Romano, also known as Mama Roma, took her love of food and cooking with her when she immigrated from Italy to New York City and again when she moved to Colorado. Opening the restaurant with her family in 1986, she served diners with her own recipes for spaghetti sauce, marinara sauce, eggplant and meatballs, and Mama Roma’s still uses those same recipes today. The rest of our menu is just as mouth-watering as those original items. We have a variety of pasta types including stuffed and baked pastas and sauces loaded with tomatoes, seafood, vegetables and aromatic herbs. We also have terrific calzones made with homemade dough, Italian-style veal and chicken dishes and a selection of delicious sandwiches. Our gluten-free pizza crust is the best around and ensures that the entire family can enjoy a meal with us. Our gnocchi and our minestrone are gluten-free as well, and all of our gluten-free ingredients are local.
